Project Management for Private Label

Stage 1: Pre-Sale

During this stage you will be thinking about your brand, range and packaging. This stage can take anywhere from months to years. Testing samples, and narrowing down your options is a vital process during the Pre Sale stage however it is important to note the road ahead is still long - so time may be of the essence.

Cautions: Dont get 'caught-up' with small details. Many of my clients who cant move past pedantic little nitty gritty things like a simple lid or jar style, waste critical time and miss market opportunities. Remember to keep momentum flowing!

Stage 2: Qutoations

We can not give you an accurate quotation, until you are clear on your a) range b) packaging and c) who will assemble/fill & box the goods.

Once you finalise the packaging theme you want, and the exact colours and items that will make your range up, quotations can commence. This can take anywhere from one to seven days depending on the complexity of your project. Often at the same time, you will be talking to printing factories about your boxes, and other accessories. Please however note, without your cosmetics there is not range, and we ask that you place your highest attention on this component.

Stage 3: The Booking

When the final quotations are determined, the booking is the next stage. Your Account Manager will confirm with you, if Production can accept the order, and dispatch by any dates you have set. Eternity Designs require deposit to activate the Project for each client's unique Private Label needs. At this point in time, you may or may not decide to also engage confidentiality agreements and request documentation and microbiological testing needs.

Stage 4: The Red Zone

From the date your booking deposit is cleared, to five business days thereafter is what we term the Red Zone. This is an absolutely imperative and vital stage of our project where you must be contactable!

Stage 5: Sample Stage

This stage is mostly concerned with the branding of your packaging and the associated sign-offs with the final packaging.

Stage 6: Production

For a few weeks, you can relax - and get to work on other parts of your business plan & project while the production of containers, and fills begin. This stage is followed by the filling & assembly process.

Stage 7: Packaging & Labelling

This stage requires confirmation of batch labelling, associated boxing, packaging and carton labelling, also required is thorough delivery instructions and shipping documentation. Your labels & boxes must be with us by the cut off dates we give you!

Stage 8: Handover

The goods are dispatched for delivery to the nominated region in accordance with client instructions.

This is a brief outline.
